Adding cannabis into my outdoor activities

Living in Albuquerque provides the perfect landscape and weather for outdoor adventure.

There are approximately 310 sunny days per year, along with cool evenings. The city is situated a mile above sea level and has a high-desert climate with four seasons. There are temperatures in the nineties during the summer and we can even get snow in the winter. The surrounding mountainous terrain is just wonderful for hiking and biking. Countless trails crisscross the Sandia and Manzano Mountains, offering some of the best opportunities for getting a workout while enjoying the breathtaking scenery. There is even an interconnected trail system laid out across the city. One of my favorites is the Paseo del Bosque Trail that extends for sixteen miles and accommodates walking, running, cycling, horseback riding and inline skating. I love taking on one of the challenging trails of the Sandia Mountains that lead to the peak. Every couple of weeks, I make a stop at my local cannabis dispensary in Albuquerque. I chat with the budtenders and find out what’s new and what’s best for motivation and inspiration. I prefer portable and discreet consumption methods such as vapes, tinctures and beverages. The effects set in quickly and don’t last all that long. I look for a fairly even ratio of THC to CBD. The THC gives me a boost of energy and helps to clear my mind while the CBD is great for alleviating stiff joints and sore muscles. I mostly shop sativas but sometimes try different hybrids. With a puff of a vape or few drops of a tincture, I get more enjoyment out of my outdoor activities.
