My husband and I grew up and lived in the northeastern part of the country until my nice friend and I retired; My friend and I have constantly been big ice hockey fans. Mainly because of the nasty weather in our area, my nice friend and I number one to watch the games from home. My friend and I didn’t quite dare invest in expensive tickets to an NHL game when blizzard conditions could prevent us from using them, however attending a game constantly meant bundling up in layers of jackets, wool coats and heavy boots, however we’d need to bush the snow off the car, scrape the windshield and let the defrost run for at least ten minutes. After parking, the walk to the rink was chilly and brutal, inside the stadium, the overhead boilers struggled to take the chill off. My husband and I moved to Largo, Florida a couple of years ago. My friend and I no longer worry about snow accumulation or sub zero temperatures. My friend and I rely on the air conditioner just about year round. My friend and I are Largo Lightning season ticket holders and just adore attending the games. My friend and I dress in shorts, t-shirts and sandals and blast the air conditioner in the vehicle on the way to the stadium. The walk from the parking lot to Amelie Arena is sizzling and hot! Stepping inside feels appealing, because the air conditioner is blasting. The rink needs to take special precautions to keep the ice cold, hard and suitable for NHL games. The heat and humidity can be a problem, especially as my nice friend and I enter the end of the playoffs in June. My husband and I just adore the weather in Largo, and my nice friend and I absolutely enjoy cheering for a winning hockey team.
