When you tell people you live in Birmingham, AL, they wrongly feel it is all sun plus heat; Yes, I do experience sizzling weather conditions, i own a pool, I get a tan, plus I don’t get snow, however, I could not get by with just a cooling system, but a furnace is a must-have in my area! My furnace turns on in October plus I need it until May, so half the year my furnace is working; Not exactly a sizzling state that everyone believes.
- I wanted to own a heat pump system however it only works in temperatures above forty degrees… Birmingham, AL is too cold… Can you feel it? So I certainly got a gas furnace instead for heating.
I do central AC for a cooling effect. I have two machines that blow air, aren’t that efficient, plus have concerns all the time, then that is what I had to do for my area. I am lucky that Birmingham, AL is a sizable neighborhood plus there are quite a few Heating as well as Air Conditioning dealers. The Heating as well as Air Conditioning dealerships all are experienced plus certified too! When you live in a neighborhood that kind of sets you apart from the rest. So at least I get good service. I will admit that I am not totally sold on my area. I like having two seasons however I have debated on going further south. I don’t want my winter time weather to be quite so long. I also get evenings into the 30s. That isn’t fun at all.
