Living in South Dakota means that heating is the priority, however our winter season season comes early and doesn’t let up; The evening time temps get into the single digs! Windchill makes it feel like it is in the downsides, but it gets pretty horrible sometimes.
I recently changed my heating situation and that made a world of difference.
I was relying on an oil boiler and then changed to a gas heater. The oil boiler burns a hotter flame. It was more efficient and could heat a larger space; However, I hated having an on arena oil tank in my house. It was ugly and used up half of myspace. I also didn’t like being dependent on oil deliveries. There were times the snow stopped deliveries and we were running absolutely short. I was upset a few times that my condo was going to be unheated. The cost of oil is always so costly too, then a gas boiler just seemed better. I called around and I found a Sioux Falls Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation that does oil to gas conversions. She removed the oil tank and added gas hookups and a flue system. I then got the boiler hooked up to the ductwork and off we went. It was so nice having a gas boiler instead. There was no more fear of running out and no more ugly tank. The gas boiler works just enjoyable for SD weather too; My pal and I run it basically 24/7 and the system never seems to want to give up. I am blissful that it can heat the whole household with ductwork.
