When I first started acting, it was for the best possible reason – to meet boys, but this was back in school, so you can’t really blame me, then as things turned out, I was absolutely nice at acting, and abruptly became the star of the theater group, by this point I had the acting bug, and started auditioning for local plays around town.
One of my old coworkers, a employer named Ben, recently recruited me to act in his first feature film.
I am beyond excited, because for the next month I will be living in Philadelphia, PA while my associate and I shoot the film. This is a low budget film, based on the tscheme story of the first legal cannabis dispensary that opened in Philadelphia, and how it transformed a city. The employer Ben absolutely rented a real cannabis dispensary for the shoot! During the afternoon the arena is open for business, however at evening the film crew takes it over, and makes it seem like it’s still in 1976’s Philadelphia. I savor dressing in the old 76s gear, and it’s absolutely cool working amidst so various forms of cannabis. These days cannabis is perfectly legal throughout the state, and Philadelphia is cabin to dozens of weird dispensaries. But back in the afternoon weed was still illegal, and one enterprising Philadelphia company owner had to confrontation the system, and sounds like a nice story for a film, right? I’m psyched about the project, I’m stoked about the history behind it, however mostly I’m gleeful to be working in Philadelphia for the next few weeks.
