The Rocklin heating and AC business where I work was busier than ever when we ran into the heat wave.
I have been living in California since I was a child. I love living close to the ocean and there are so many opportunities in this part of the country. My parents lived in Sacramento and then I moved to a city called Rocklin after I graduated from high school. I didn’t take the normal route of going to college and getting a degree. Instead, I decided to attend a technical school close to rocklin, california, so I could learn about heating and AC repair and installation work. Rocklin is a great place to live. There is a lot of vegetation and farming crops in the area. Rocklin has hot summers and wet Winters. During the summer, the temperatures are usually around 90°, but there have been some days when the temperatures were even higher. Last summer we had temperatures that reached 110°, 3 days in a row. The temperatures were extremely hot and a lot of people had problems with the AC unit. The Rocklin heating and AC business where I work was busier than ever when we ran into the heat wave. I was working twelve hour days that week from sun up until the time the sun went down. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a lot that we could do to help most of the customers. When the temperatures are over 100°, it’s hard to keep the AC working unless you have a commercial grade system like a hospital, bank, or government building. We replaced a couple of AC units that summer, but most customers had to wait until the temperatures were lower outside.
