Christmas is a time during the year for having fun and visiting with family.
It is not the best time of the year to have problems with the furnace or heat pump.
Last year Christmas started off in a great way. The kids woke up early and we had all of the presents opened before it was 6:00 a.m. My wife made some pancakes, bacon, sausage, French toast, and hot chocolate for breakfast. The kids went upstairs to take showers and everyone was dressed and ready to go to church with a full belly, by 9:00 in the morning. When we came back from church, the house was as cold as it was outside. We were only gone for a couple of hours, but the lack of heat in the house made the place feel like we were walking into an upright freezer. It was Christmas day and we didn’t know who we could call for repairs. My wife contacted a couple of Glenview, Illinois service providers. Most of the places were closed for the day because it was a holiday. We called our regular Glenview HVAC service provider and they did not have any one available. We had to go with a service that was unfamiliar. Thankfully, they provided us with outstanding service and excellent prices. The issues with the furnace were not a major problem, so we were lucky to get the furnace back up and running on the same day.
