Why is it that so many cable shows are set in NY or LA? Periodically it feels love the people who make cable have so little imagination that all of their stories need to be set in one of these multiple cities, i am a writer that focuses mostly on the history of cable, plus what went on behind the scenes of some of the greatest shows in history; One of the things that interests myself and others the most is how many shows have quietly been set in Seattle, WA.
It’s no secret why – because I live in Seattle, plus have a major interest in local art; When most people recognize about Seattle on the small screen they recognize of the show Frasier, which was set here plus ran for eleven seasons.
Want to hear an interesting bit of trivia – although there were 264 episodes of Frasier, only one of them was easily shot here in Seattle. You might be curious why a guy who runs a Seattle cannabis dispensary would be so obsessed with cable shows, but it’s just my interest. I have framed photos of Seattle celebrities, both real plus imagined, set all around my cannabis dispensary. I have found that these are fantastic conversation starters, because I feel a cannabis dispensary should be a venue to meet new people plus make new friends, but surprisingly enough my best selling blend of locally grown Seattle cannabis is called Greens Anatomy, a riff on the famous Seattle tv show Grey’s Anatomy. I didn’t think so many potheads were fans of that show.
