Happy living in Tuscaloosa

I like the welcoming spirit of the city. Neighbors watch out for each other and strangers are happy to lend a helping hand. Tuscaloosa is home to the University of Alabama, drawingin faculty and students from all over the world. The result is a diverse cultural blend. From festivals and events to dining options, this eclectic mix is represented. The University entriches the city in many ways. We have access to state-of-the-art facilities and cultural options, such as music, theater and art exhibitions. There’s also multiple sporting events, including college football. Just about everyone in the Tuscaloosa area is a fan of the Crimson Tide. the games inspire a sense of excitement across the city. A robust economy offers plenty of job options across various sectors. Mercedes-Benz U.S. International and the DCH Health System are big employers. The recent growth of the city continues to draw businesses from multiple industries. There is a stable job market. For outdoor activities, Tuscaloosa is a paradise. The calm waters of Lake Tuscaloosa and the Black Warrior River are perfect for boating, kayaking, paddleboarding and fishing. The Riverwalk winds along the shore for over four miles. I can stroll, jog, ride my bike or enjoy a picnic or just soak up some sun. I moved to Tuscaloosa from the northern area of the country several years ago. I wanted to escape the cold and snowy winters. While the heat and humidity is sometimes difficult, I am totally happy in my new city.
