I picked up two dozen air purifiers before lunch time

Friday was one of the busiest days that I have had in a long time.

It was my job to pick up all of the air purifiers that were no longer under rental contracts with the Orland Park HVAC service center.

Orland Park has been renting air purifiers to local residents and companies since the beginning of the coronavirus. A lot of those air purifier contracts ended on Monday and I was in charge of picking everything up on friday. Many people might think that Orland Park is a small city, especially when compared to Chicago, but on a day when I have to drive from one side of the city to the other, it seems like the biggest place in the world. I hit traffic in three different spots and a woman wanted me to roll down my window so she could ask me a question about an air conditioner problem she was having in her car. I picked up more than two dozen air purifiers before lunch. I had to take the supplies back to the Orland Park HVAC service center in order to make room for the rest of the items I had to pick up later that afternoon. I didn’t finish picking up the last of the supplies until well after 7:00 p.m. The only good thing about finishing up that late was skipping the rest of the traffic. By the time I finally finished dropping off the air purifiers at the shop, it was half past 8:00. I didn’t hit any traffic on the way back to the house and I was sitting in the study with a cigar and a beer by 9:15.
