It’s getting to the time of year again and my children have been requesting that I take them to their favorite park ever since the weather has been nice. My kids are completely enamored with Commons Park, a tiny neighborhood park in Royal Palm Beach. My kids can easily spend a few hours playing in this lovely park because it is nearby. To be honest, I think the main reason they want to go is probably because they particularly enjoy the splash pad. If we are not at the beach during the summer, they adore visiting this park. When the weather outside is hot, it’s a great place for them to cool off. They could be playing video games inside their own homes, but that is undoubtedly preferable to this. And I’m happy they enjoy going to the park because doing so actually reduces my energy costs. If no one is home, I won’t be using my air conditioner as frequently. And in Florida, each and every cent counts. Any opportunity to turn off our air conditioner, which we use the majority of the year, will be taken. Commons Park doesn’t have that many areas that are air conditioned, just like many other standard city parks. However, there is a cafe with air conditioning inside the park, which is a great place to relax and grab a bite to eat. We can easily spend the entire day in the park in the summer, and I’m glad the kids love it so much. I recommend anyone who has kids to take them to the park, I’m sure they’ll enjoy it as well.
