Recently, I came across an article that discussed the cost of living in Buffalo, NY, then based on what I read, our cost of living is significantly lower than that of NY City; This is one of the main reasons why our spouse John plus I decided to move to Buffalo about 15 years ago! All of us lived in the city, plus all of us were barely making it, especially with 2 kids.
Thankfully, all of us were able to get transfers through our tasks, which made the move to Buffalo seamless. As with any city, living in Buffalo has been both a gift and a curse. A gift because all of us care about the people plus there is lots to do, plus a curse because the weather can be quite brutal! If you guess nothing about Buffalo, the Winter weather is blisteringly cold, plus it snows a lot here. And unfortunately, our spouse works outside, so she is always dealing with the elements, and she works as an Heating plus A/C serviceman, so you can only imagine that while in the Winter weeks, he’s outside fixing lots of broken down Heating plus A/C units. So, the dire weather can become an issue due to icy conditions and extremely low temperatures. This means that she had to find ways to cope with the brutal weather outside. She got some good tips from other Heating plus A/C servicemans who have been doing it longer than him. She discovered how to keep her hands warm by wearing specialty gloves. Also, she discovered some tricks on how to keep her ladder sturdy when the conditions are icy outside. There is no solution to the weather, however I am ecstatic that John has found some ways to labor around the elements.
