During the times when the temperatures were over 100°, we had to turn off the air conditioner around 4:00 in the afternoon

My family and I have lived in the Sacramento, California area for most of our lives. My mom and dad moved to the area in the 1970s and my sister and I grew up in Rocklin. Rocklin is a suburb of Sacramento. It is a nice place to grow up and one of the places around the city where there is still a lot of nature. I like to spend a lot of time in nature and so do all of my friends. Once a month we go hiking or kayaking. There are plenty of rivers around the area where we can fish and go camping. My friends and I were supposed to go camping in Rocklin last weekend, but the temperatures were at an all-time high. I have lived here all of my life and I have never had to deal with such high temperatures. We had 5 days in a row when the temperature was over 100°. The AC unit broke down and we could not figure out how to get it to work again. We had to call a Rocklin AC repair company to fix the problem. The problem turned out to be something simple and absolutely due to the extreme heat and overuse of the machine. During the times when the temperatures were over 100°, we had to turn off the air conditioner around 4:00 in the afternoon. If we kept it running, then it would freeze up and shut off. If we turned it off on our own, then we could turn it back on around 7:00 p.m. when the sun was on the way down.
