Last winter season was my first winter season in Minneapolis, MN, but i was previously living down south and I decided to transport to Minneapolis for a task opportunity, all of my friends warned me that the temperatures were going to be vastly different.
I truthfully didn’t think it would be a immense deal. I’ve been skiing and snowboarding and I thought that cool temperatures would be a nice change compared to the heat and humidity in the south. I moved in the middle of September and I started my task on the first of September. It was already cool and windy during the day. A month after I moved, my buddy and I had a powerful snowstorm that dropped 10 inches of snow in one day. I wasn’t prepared for all of that snow and neither was the heating system in my rental house! There was no heat coming from the HVAC duct even when the heating system was running. I contacted my landlord and he told me to find a heating system repair repair in Minneapolis. I didn’t know who to choose and I wish that my landlord would have been a lot more helpful, however he didn’t even stay on the phone for more than a minute or two. I found a heating system repair supplier in Minneapolis and they had same day appointments available. It was $600 to repair the heater, my landlord told me to deduct the cost of the heating system repair from my rent next month. I’m blissful that the landlord is going to spend my money for the heating system repairs, but I wish he would have been a lot more helpful on the phone.
