Last winter time was my first winter time in Minneapolis, MN, then i was previously residing down south & I decided to transport to Minneapolis for a job opportunity, and all of my friends warned me that the temperatures were going to be vastly different. I actually did not think it would be a sizable deal. I’ve been skiing & snowboarding & I thought that cool temperatures would be a nice change compared to the heat & humidity in the south. I moved in the middle of September & I started my job on the first of September. It was already cool & windy during the day. A month after I moved, we had a powerful snowstorm that dropped 10 inches of snow in one day. I wasn’t prepared for all of that snow & neither was the heater in my rental house; There was no heat coming from the HVAC duct even when the heater was running. I contacted my landlord & he told me to find a heater repair repair in Minneapolis. I did not know who to choose & I wish that my landlord would have been a lot more helpful! He did not even stay on the PC for more than a minute or two. I found a heater repair contractor in Minneapolis & they had same day appointments available. It was $600 to repair the heater! My landlord told me to deduct the cost of the heater repair from my rent next month. I’m excited that the landlord is going to pay for the heater repairs, but I wish he would have been a lot more helpful on the PC.
