I guess I’m a nerd, although I love the show Portlandia… It’s a wicked skewering of current day culture, centered around the good city of Portland, OR.
I loved the show for years, as well as then it occurred to myself and others that I might be missing out on some of the inside references as well as jokes because I had never been to the city itself.
I did a little research online as well as found that I wasn’t alone, and some other fans of the show had set up a guided tour of Portland, OR based around sketches of the tv series! This was something I had to check out, so I set up a long weekend in Portland, OR. Since this was our first time there, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had study that cannabis was legal in Portland as well as the rest of OR, although I had no plan there would be so various dispensaries! There was literally a cannabis dispensary across the street from our hotel in downtown Portland; That made for some crazy mornings, because I just put on our slippers as well as walked over to find the tastiest cannabis strains in Portland. I got so wrecked that first night in Portland I almost overslept the tour. The Portlandia tour was the main reason I had come here, as well as I almost missed the whole thing! The guided tour of Portland as well as the shooting sights of the show was just as amazing as I hoped it would be. All of that amazing Portland cannabis I smoked along the way was just a glad little accident.
